What fashion says first

I paint what people wear when they want to be seen, which at events like yours is always. Working as a fashion illustrator, designing costumes for theatre, and styling events for Melbourne Fashion Week and the NGV has taught me that clothing speaks volumes before anyone says a word. Silhouette, gesture, the way fabric falls – I've learned to eavesdrop; illustration is how I take notes.

Whether I'm capturing guests in what they wore or illustrating pieces from your collection, the artwork turns the atmosphere into something tangible. Guests carry home a small signed piece of the occasion. Original watercolour, created to last. Each illustration becomes proof of presence: something to frame, not forget.

Design-conscious corporate

Milestone celebrations, conferences, anniversary events.

Not every corporate event needs illustration, but the ones that do involve champagne and guests who dressed for it. Guests receive artwork that reflects the event's significance, making a business moment feel personal.

Working together

From first conversation to event day, the process runs smoothly and without fuss. You can trust that every detail is handled with care.

1. Brief & creative development

We begin with a conversation about your event, what you're creating, and how illustration fits the atmosphere. I'll talk you through timing, paper options, and what's possible within your vision. I can provide custom-designed paper incorporating your brand elements, or work on brand-supplied stock with advance samples (watercolour has opinions about paper weight).

2. Execution & experience

I arrive early with everything needed, then work quietly throughout your event. Depending on your desired style, I can illustrate around six and up to twelve guests an hour. The process creates its own gentle energy that naturally encourages guests to linger longer.

3. Artwork & keepsake

Guests collect pieces throughout the event or at its close, depending on format. Each illustration is painted with artist-quality pigments on archival cotton paper, becoming something they keep – carrying a little of the occasion home.

Common questions

A few practical details about how it all works.

How far ahead should we book a live fashion illustrator?

Some brands brief six months ahead; others ring three weeks before a launch. Both approaches can work. Get in touch and I'll let you know what's possible.

What illustration formats do you offer?

A5 or A6 illustrations as individual or group full-length fashion illustrations, face portraits, or product illustration. Guests can be captured in their own style or wearing pieces from your collection. If you have specific format requirements, share those early and we'll work out what's achievable (usually more than you'd expect).

What do guests receive?

An original A5 or A6 watercolour, signed and made to keep. All work is painted with artist-quality pigments. When I supply paper, it's archival cotton, made to last.

How many guests can you illustrate?

Between six and twelve per hour, depending on style complexity. Simple portraits work quickly; detailed fashion illustration with intricate garments takes longer. We'll work out pacing during planning to match your event format and guest flow.

How does this tie in with our branding?

I can design custom paper incorporating your visual identity, or work on branded stock you supply. I'll need advance samples to confirm suitability for watercolour. The illustration style is my artistic signature, but we'll ensure brand cohesion through paper design, format, and any palette or stylistic elements you brief.

What makes this different from branded merchandise?

Illustration creates original artwork: signed, dated, one-of-a-kind. Guests leave with watercolour on archival paper, the kind of object people actually frame and keep. Your brand aesthetic becomes something guests frame and keep. Design object, not corporate giveaway.

How does paper customisation work?

Custom-designed paper can incorporate your logo, event details, and illustrated elements. Alternatively, I can work on your branded stock with advance samples to confirm it suits watercolour. We'll determine the approach based on your design requirements and event aesthetic.

What space and setup do you need?

A table and chair. I bring everything else, including discreet portable lighting if needed. Setup adapts to your venue.

Do you work outside Melbourne?

I'm based in Melbourne but work across Australia and internationally, and bill travel at true cost without markup. Whether your event's in Sydney or Singapore, get in touch for a custom quote.
